Guitar Wood, A Living Testament...
José Ramírez guitars are constructed from aged woods of the finest quality.
Great care has been taken to use no wood before its time.
Woods that are characteristic of generations past: Honduras Cedar, Cameroon Ebony, German Spruce, Cypress, Indian Rosewood, Jacaranda, and Red Cedar which was first used by my father, José Ramírez III when he discovered its immediate sonorous qualities.
I personally supervise the construction process from start to finish, and all of the guitars must receive my final approval to indicate they are of the highest quality. My desire is to practice the time honored tradition of my fathers and build the very best guitar possible.Amalia Ramírez

The Guitar named SP(semi professional) has been created in response to demand for an intermediate model between studio and professional instruments both in terms of quality and price. It has been carefully designed by Amelia Ramírez.
Earlier, at the end of the eighties, Ramirez had made an SP model by way of experiment, but it turned out to be too expensive to continue commercialising and construction was stopped. This new SP is different from its predecesor both in construction and decoration, although the design of both is similar.Construction details:
WOODS: Ebony fingerboard, cedar neck, Indian Rosewood sides and back, red cedar top (SP) or German spruce top (SP-A) depending on the choice specified in the order.
FINISH: The varnish used is synthetic. The spruce top can be finished with French polish depending on the buyer's preference, with a supplement on the price.
SCALE: The string length is 650mm.
